For more than a decade, GBCHealth has been presenting the Business Action on Health Awards to companies that exemplify a spirit of innovation and help set the agenda for addressing today's most important global health challenges. The awards represent a key opportunity to recognize success and best practices, while providing powerful examples that inspire others to redouble their own efforts.
Among the most coveted honors in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arena, the Business Action on Health awards owe their prestige in part to the rigorous evaluation procedure undertaken by our panel of internationally-respected judges – a rotating group of experts drawn from across the private, non-profit, multilateral and governmental sectors. Our 2013 panel included top-level representatives from international agencies such as the ILO and WHO, non-profits such as Jhpiego and EngenderHealth, as well as companies as diverse as Merck, SABMiller and Chevron.
