Medtronic Philanthropy is seeking two global partners to assist with its new five-year initiative to expand access to chronic disease care for underserved populations by strengthening local health systems. The program, which focuses on diabetes and cardiovascular disease, is part of Medtronic’s ongoing contribution to the global target of a 25 percent reduction in premature deaths from non-communicable diseases (NCDs) by 2025. It is expected that the five-year program will yield key findings to inform the NCDs agenda at both national and international levels.
Medtronic seeks an implementing partner and an evaluation partner for the program. The implementing partner will be responsible for local grant making, stakeholder engagement, program management, technical assistance, communications and thought leadership in each of the four focus countries: Brazil, India, South Africa and the United States. The evaluation partner will be responsible for developing and executing the monitoring and evaluation framework within each country.
